Dysprosium Oxide Description
Dysprosium Oxide (Dy₂O₃), or Dysprosium (III) oxide, is a high-purity white powder essential in ceramics, glass, phosphors, lasers, and metal halide lamps.
It is a key raw material for Dysprosium Metal, widely used in Neodymium-Iron-Boron (NdFeB) magnets. In electronics, it’s utilized as an antireflection coating in photoelectric devices. Its high thermal-neutron absorption makes it ideal for neutron-absorbing control rods in industrial reactors. Additionally, its strong magnetic properties are valuable in data storage technologies like hard disks.
